Corporate volunteering: a pillar in the Palladio Group for corporate social responsibility

27, Jan, 2025

Since 2021, the Palladio Group has been by the side of Dynamo Camp, the first Recreational Therapy camp in Italy, which hosts free of charge children and young people from 6 to 17 years old suffering from serious or chronic illnesses. In 2023, this collaboration turned into something even more significant: the launch of a corporate volunteering programme that brought employees to the heart of this mission, making them protagonists of an experience capable of generating genuine value.

For Palladio, this project represents much more than a simple initiative of solidarity: it is an act of responsibility, an opportunity to strengthen its values, create ties with the territory and contribute concretely to the wellbeing of the community.
We find out below how this programme is generating a positive impact not only on the direct beneficiaries, but also on the corporate culture through Elena Marchi, Corporate HR Manager, who was the first to push for the activation of the project, already participating last year and renewing her participation for 2025.

Elena, why did the Palladio Group decide to support Dynamo Camp?
Palladio Group has always had a strong vocation for supporting voluntary associations, particularly those dedicated to projects for minors. The collaboration with Dynamo Camp began in 2021, thanks to the enthusiasm of some colleagues in the Tuscan factory who had known the reality of the Camp in San Marcello Piteglio from close up.
What prompted us to choose Dynamo Camp was their unique commitment: to give back to children suffering from serious or chronic illnesses the right to be ‘simply children’. This mission aligns with our values, because we at the Palladio Group also aim to improve people’s quality of life through innovative products and services.
Furthermore, we have been impressed by Dynamo’s professionalism, reliability and organisational capacity, as well as the richness of the Recreational Therapy programmes they offer. As of 2023, our commitment has become even more concrete: we have launched a corporate volunteering programme that allows our employees to contribute to social welfare by living a unique experience during working hours.
We are proud of this partnership that not only strengthens our ties with the local area, but also allows us to make a difference for many children and their families.

How is this initiative perceived by employees?
The launch of the corporate volunteering project immediately aroused great curiosity and enthusiasm among the people of the Palladio Group. In 2024, 15 colleagues did their corporate volunteering at Dynamo Camp in San Marcello Piteglio and, some of them, decided to replicate this experience in 2025. Promoting a corporate culture based on solidarity values is fundamental for us, and with this project we were able to bring many people closer to the social world. The programme has created a strong involvement at all levels of the company: from production to the offices, from managers to senior management.
The feedback I have received from colleagues who have gone through this experience has been amazing. I myself had the privilege of participating in this extraordinary adventure and I can confirm how difficult it is to describe the energy and optimism that one breathes at Dynamo Camp. I experienced first-hand the special atmosphere that pervades the Camp, a contagious emotion that involved every participant, including myself, making the experience even more enriching and memorable.
The management of the Palladio Group has also welcomed the programme, deciding to donate an additional contribution for each employee who chooses to dedicate their time to volunteering with Dynamo Camp. For 2025, our goal is ambitious: to involve 20 Palladio volunteers. We are confident that together we can do even more!

Through the volunteer programme, the Palladio Group demonstrates how a company can go beyond its core business, taking an active role in building a more inclusive and supportive society. The enthusiasm of the employees, the transversal involvement and the tangible results achieved so far are proof that volunteering not only improves the lives of the beneficiaries, but also deeply enriches those who participate in it.
